Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley is one of the most impressive, rich and spiritual places on earth where ancient cultures combine with breathtaking scenery. Studying at our Amauta School in Urubamba includes excursions, lectures and cultural activities such as a traditional Peruvian cooking class and an excursion to the salt mines in Maras. There are daily activities (approx. 2 hours daily) with a hike in the hills behind Urumbamba. With lovely villages sprawled out around the area, there are plenty of day trips and fun outings to take advantage of. Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Urubumba are all in close proximity and give amazing views of the luscious Valley. This mystic culture will inspire you to dig deeper into the language of Spanish and explore the culture that has influenced this area over the centuries.
